Dutch
Design Week
Every year in October, Eindhoven hosts the nine-day Dutch Design Week (DDW).
During the Dutch Design Week (DDW), Northern Europe’s largest design event exhibits the work and concepts of more than 2,600 designers to a domestic and international audience of more than 350,000 visitors. Spread over 120 locations throughout the city, DDW organises and facilitates, amongst other things, exhibitions, lectures, award ceremonies, network meetings, debates, and other festivities.
Although all imaginable design disciplines and aspects feature during the event, the emphasis is on experimentation, innovation and crossovers. The annual event also focuses specifically on the work and development of young talents.
DDW concentrates on both the design of the future and the future of design. We consider it our mission to show in what way designers are globally shaping a more positive future, strengthening the position and contribution of Dutch designers in the process.
