Located in one of the Netherlands’ most innovative spots, Strijp-S in Eindhoven, MU is on the forefront of contemporary art. Surrounded by startups and leading hi-tech companies, MU is exploring the boundaries of hybrid art and post-digital design, creative technology and new media—always on the lookout for new networks, creators and meanings. MU is showing the world what art can be, instead of what it should be.
MU functions as a springboard for both domestic and international talents by giving them the opportunity to realise their first large presentation in the Netherlands and Europe. MU initiates, co-produces and presents adventurous projects, cooperating with artists such as WeMakeCarpets, Nelly Ben Hayoun, Rafaël Rozendaal, Lucas Maassen, Quayola, Liam Young and Cassils. Our exhibitions attract a large, predominantly young audience, contributing to the creative industry.
