Dutch Design Week 2026:
Unpolished design at Strijp-S

From Saturday 17 to Sunday 25 October, Eindhoven is all about Dutch Design Week again. Strijp-S is once more one of the festival’s key locations. Where Philips once had its factories, visitors now discover the work of Dutch and international designers in the Klokgebouw, on Ketelhuisplein and in Gebouw SFF.

Theme: R.A.W.
The 26th edition is themed R.A.W. and puts unpolished, investigative and experimental design centre stage. It is a deliberate counterpoint to technology and AI, which are increasingly focused on optimisation and perfection. More than 2,500 designers present their work, from material research to new ideas about the city of tomorrow.

Klokgebouw: four halls full of design
The former Philips factory building has 7,500 m² of exhibitions. RawTimber uses the tree crown as a raw material. Glass beyond Glass presents a circular approach to glass. At the rammed-earth pavilion Dirty Works, visitors can help build. The Klokgebouw also hosts Class of 26, the annual exhibition of Dutch and international design programmes, as well as the Secrid Talent Podium and the final of the HEMA Design Competition.

Free on Ketelhuisplein
Ketelhuisplein is free to visit. One of the eye-catchers is House of Lights by TAM Industries, a full-scale 3D-printed house with a façade made of recycled plastic. At Electric Grand you can literally walk inside a piano, and Atelier Van Lieshout presents its Colonic Cleansing Clinic. The Municipality of Eindhoven and TU/e share their views on a city that keeps growing.

Digital design in Gebouw SFF
Gebouw SFF focuses on the latest developments in digital design and AI.

Practical information
The Klokgebouw and Ketelhuisplein are open daily from 11:00 to 18:00. You need a DDW ticket for the Klokgebouw, and Ketelhuisplein is free. Tickets and the full programme are available at ddw.nl.
